It was a wonderful experience to have our K9 family join us and several of our kids were also excited to come along and spend time with those fur-babies in the office. Thank you to everyone brought in their pets and those who donated to this worthwhile cause. Special mention to Luka and Ilona, two kids who cleaned out their pocket money with their $74 donation.

Celebration at Prohibition https://hastwell.au/celebration-at-prohibition/ https://hastwell.au/celebration-at-prohibition/#respond Thu, 02 Dec 2021 21:41:27 +0000 http://hastwell-it.com.au/?p=1070 Continued]]> Last Friday night the Hastwell team celebrated closing out our quarterly theme with a team event at Prohibition Liquor Co.

A Gin Masterclass was held in the distillery and curated and led by PLC to showcase a selection of their most popular products, providing education on the historical origins of Navy Strength Gin and why it was needed for the gunpowder trade historically. We then moved on to learn about the sourcing of local Riverland produce for our new favourite Blood Orange Gin and the continued pursuit of perfecting PLC’s limited edition Christmas Gin.

This event was a great time for us to connect face-to-face particularly our interstate colleague, recognise achievements and welcome new tribe members James C. and Kosta. We celebrated some recent achievements across all aspects of the business and importantly recognised that our customers are integral and at the heart of all that we do.

It’s the first week of Movemeber! https://hastwell.au/its-the-first-week-of-movemeber/ https://hastwell.au/its-the-first-week-of-movemeber/#respond Tue, 02 Nov 2021 13:21:29 +0000 http://hastwell-it.com.au/?p=1022 Continued]]> It’s the first week of November

We all know what that means: the razor is locked away, the upper lip is starting to itch, and donors everywhere are chucking one in the tin for men’s health. The Mo is making its presence known all over the country, but for some, progress can be slower than expected.

Hastwell’s local Mo Bro’s Jason Fleming & Tim Sando are slow growers. When asked what was up with their Mo’s, they gave us a simple answer. Should they be concerned that their facial hair isn’t up to snuff just yet? Experts say, never fear. What is visible only under microscope today blooms into fine form in just a matter of weeks. By day 30, these men, their Mo’s, the legends we all know will barely be recognisable. And no matter the result, these two are taking a huge step for men’s health!

Stay tuned for updates throughout the month!

On your marks, get set, go! https://hastwell.au/on-your-marks-get-set-go/ https://hastwell.au/on-your-marks-get-set-go/#respond Wed, 25 Aug 2021 14:26:03 +0000 http://hastwell-it.com.au/?p=1025 Continued]]> Last quarter, the Hastwell Tribe worked their butts off, racing towards the EOFY finish line. Thank you to everyone for your contribution.

We celebrated with a go-kart grand prix. 50 laps of heart-pounding, rubber-exchanging fun, complimented by some food, drink and banter. It was a bit of a smaller group but everyone in attendance had an awesome day.

Taking the Plunge https://hastwell.au/taking-the-plunge/ https://hastwell.au/taking-the-plunge/#respond Sun, 25 Jul 2021 14:34:42 +0000 http://hastwell-it.com.au/?p=1034 Continued]]> One of our superstar tribe members, Shaun Gong, is taking the plunge to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charity.

He will abseil 70 metres from the top of the InterContinental Hotel on North Terrace in Adelaide this August to try and raise $850.

Donations to charities have dropped dramatically over the past 18 months, so any help is appreciated. It only takes a minute and any money you can give (no matter how large or small) will go a long way in helping Shaun, and Ronald McDonald House, reach their targets.

Ocean’s 14 Casino Night https://hastwell.au/937-2/ https://hastwell.au/937-2/#respond Sat, 19 Jun 2021 11:45:28 +0000 http://hastwell-it.com.au/?p=937 Continued]]> Each quarter at Hastwell we rally the whole business behind a single critical number that represents the most important thing for the business to grow. It could be bringing on new customers, increasing billable hours, improving documentation – but its always aligned with our most important quarterly rock in our strategy.

We set our critical number and build a quarterly theme around it – often based off a movie or TV show. We reward and incentivise throughout the quarter as we hit our targets and whether or not we reach our stretch goals, we always celebrate together at the end.

This weekend saw the celebration of our ‘Ocean’s 14’ quarterly theme, in which each of the Hastwell staff brought their key skills and abilities together to develop new product and service offerings to take to market.

We celebrated a Casino night at the office, complete with pulled pork burgers, a hosted poker tournament and plenty of banter. Naturally, the fun continued Monday morning as everyone recounted their stories from the night.

Do you run quarterly themes in your business? How do you celebrate?
